(Doc ID 2923213.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 30, 2023
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In fluid position management, with approvals disabled, when cloning a position (POS1) and by updating the new position number(CLOPOS1), the Workflow Status (WF_STATUS) on the new position (CLOPOS1) is marked as "Not Available" instead of "Approved".
When the newly cloned position (CLOPOS1) is cloned again to create another new position (CLOPOS2), on submitting the transaction, the workflow status for CLOPOS1 is updated to ‘Approved’ and for CLOPOS2 is set as ‘Not Available’.
Steps to replicate the issue:
Prerequisite for testing: Navigate to Set Up HCM > Install > Product Specific > Position Data Installation > Position Management Installation: Disable the Approval Options for both Process ID's (Create Position and Edit Position)
Navigate to: Main Menu > Organizational Development > Position Management > Manage Positions: Enable Configurable Search
- Workforce Administrator Fluid Homepage > Position Management Tile > Manage Position Tile: Search for existing position for e.g. POS1
- Click on "Clone" button
- Enter a new Position Number for e.g. CLOPOS1 and Click on "Continue" and "Submit"
Notice: the Workflow Status (WF_STATUS) on the new position (CLOPOS1) is marked as "Not Available" instead of "Approved". - Workforce Administrator Fluid Homepage > Position Management Tile > Manage Position Tile: Search for the already position at step 3: CLOPOS1
- Click on "Clone" button
- Enter a new Position Number for e.g. CLOPOS2, Save and Submit
Notice: On submitting the transaction, the workflow status for CLOPOS1 is updated to ‘Approved’ and for CLOPOS2 is set as ‘Not Available’.
