On : 9.2 version, Student Records Additional Features
When attempting to add a Thesis Title on Thesis Management page or Candidate Management page that exceeds 254 characters
the following error occurs:
This is due to the fact that the text field is listed “the record field specified that the text is of fixed length”
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Graduate Research Management > Thesis Management.
2. Enter a Thesis title over 254 characters in the appropriate field, tab out or save
3. Note message given..
4. Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Graduate Research Management > Candidate Management.
5. Enter Thesis Title over 254 characters and tab out or save
6. Note message given.
