PeopleSoft Financials Journals Created From Accounting Lines From Campus Solutions Do Not Balance (Doc ID 2923917.1)

Symptoms

On PeopleSoft Financials, Journals created from SF_ACCTG_LINES published from Campus Solutions do not balance in some situations.  The expectation is Journal ID's created should balance.   On PeopleSoft Financials, after creating the journal, the following message is received.

5860 48 Journal is not balanced on journal totals or balancing ChartField Totals


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. On PeopleSoft Financials, navigate to  General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create / Update Journal Entry;
  2. Create the subsystem journals;
  3. Note the reported error message.
