EAM9.2: Can Parent Asset with Non-Zero (0) Cost and Child Assets under the Parent with the Respective Amounts in Cost?

Goal
Is it possible to create a Parent Asset with non-zero (0) cost and the Child Assets under the parent with the respective amounts in cost?
The Parent Asset has to be kept in track for the entire cost which was entered at initial.
Depreciation should not be done for the Parent Asset, whereas the Child asset should be depreciable, and the transactions has to happen for the same.
Is there a possibility for this in the system to keep the parent asset with original cost?
