Last updated on MAY 04, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.60 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The sample site has the following.

1. FSCM PUM Image 46.

2. PeopleTools 8.60.03.

When searching on a page configured with Configurable Search, it returns the following error.

ERROR
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Menu>Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Security>Activate Row-level Security.

2. Select the "Permission List Level Security" radio button for Type of Security and "Business Unit" for Secured Field section (should be the default for that section).

3. Navigate to Menu>Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Security>Apply Security Setups.

4. Create a new run control and run the SEC_VIEWS AE (no parameters required).

5. Once complete, grant the ID you're using access to the business unit, in my case VP1 and US001 for testing.

6. Navigate to Menu>Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Security>Unit by Permission List.

7. Search for the primary permission list of the user (for VP1, this is ALLPAGES) and add the BU being testing (US001) and click save. To verify, you can query PS_SEC_BU_CLS to validate a row exists.

8. Navigate to General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries.

9. Take default search parameters and search.

10. Observe the error.
