E-NV: Linked Spreadsheets Do Not Display Formula Results When Linked to nVision Reports Generated in OpenXML Mode (Doc ID 2937994.1)

Linked spreadsheets do not display formula results when they are linked to nVision reports generated in OpenXML mode, unless the nVision report is open. The nVision report must be kept open for the results to be transmitted in the linked spreadsheet.

Steps to Replicate:

1. With OpenXML mode configured, create nvision Output with formulas, it can be a sum of a column.
2. Open another blank spreadsheet and link it to the sum cell of the OpenXML generated nVision report.  
3. The value will display as blank on the linked spreadsheet unless the nvision report is open.

This does not occur with nVision reports generated in Excel Automation mode, the linked spreadsheet gets updated without having the nVision report open.

Changes

 Change from Excel Automation mode to OpenXML mode to run nVision reports is the cause.
