Symptoms

 In 8.60 tools release, component search is forcing users to click on the search results instead of taking to specific component even after specifying accurate keys in the search field.

For example:

  1. Navigate to PeopleTools -> Security -> User Profiles -> User Profiles.
  2. Provide some user id (e.g.AADAMS) in the search field and click on search.
  3. This forces the user to again click on the search result instead of taking directly to that component

Changes

 This behavior is observed from 8.60 tools release.
