FMLA employees Health Insurance Arrears
We have an issue with capturing Arrears Dollars for benefit eligible employees that are out on Leave (FMLA). The FMLA employees do not get a paycheck in our payroll system because they are being compensated by the insurance company. A solution that we implemented is we are adding an earnings code (NPY) and creating a zero net pay paycheck so that their healthcare benefits are captured in the arrears balance table. This has worked but it has caused us several issues with processing and manual maintenance.
What is best practice from PeopleSoft to handle leave employees and capturing their arrears?
