Symptoms
When processing Inflation Adjustment (FSPCINFL), it creates new journals. It does not maintain the same decimal places for FOREIGN_AMOUNT as for MONETARY_AMOUNT in PS_JRNL_LN table.
For example, if MONETARY_AMOUNT field contains data with 3 decimal positions, FOREIGN_AMOUNT field rounds data to two decimal positions making the journal to fail when journal edition is executed due to unbalanced journal.
The expectation is that, for Amounts to have consistent number of decimals.
