Symptoms

After enabling Real Time Indexing for Fluid Benefits Insights, the indexing process errors with the following in the application server log:


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Search Framework > Real Time Indexing > Configure Real Time Indexing.
  2. Enable Real Time Indexing for Ben Admin Processing Insights.
  3. Then as a Benefits Administrator select the Manage Benefits Tile > Ben Admin Processing Insights tile
  4. Select the ODEM link for an existing row.
  5. The On Demand Event Maintenance page opens to process the event to closed.
  6. Review the Ben Admin Processing Insights to see there is no change to the event that was processed, it remains showing as requiring processing.
  7. Review the Application Server log to see the error.
