Application Engine Process Such as Pell Table Enablement (SFA_PELL_SCH) Fails with Error 'All Processing Suspended' (Doc ID 2948825.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run an Application Engine process, such as Pell Table Enablement, it ends in No Success (or some other status other than Success) with the following error indicated in one or more of the output files:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the run control page for the process, and run the process.
  2. Click Process Monitor and refresh until the results of the process are posted.
  3. Click the 'Details' link for the process, then the link that says 'View Log/Trace', then the links to the file(s) in the file list to see the detailed error message.
