Changing Department Value In Fluid Position Data Overrides the Salary Plan And Grade Values From Location or Jobcode (Doc ID 2951873.1)

When editing the Department on a Position in Fluid Position Data, the Salary Admin Plan and Grade from the Jobcode table or Location table are overriding the existing values on the Position, even though the Jobcode and Location did not change. Issue does not occur if using classic Position Data page.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Workforce Administrator homepage > Position Management tile > Manage Positions
2. Search for the desired position, and add a new effective dated row
3. Update the Department field and tab out so its PeopleCode executes.
4. Salary plan and grade will be overridden with the values from the Jobcode/Location tables.
