E-WL: "opatch lsinventory" Fails With Error "LsInventorySession failed: RawInventory gets null OracleHomeInfo" (Doc ID 2953737.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run "opatch lsinventory" from $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch directory to identify the list of patches applied to WebLogic, the following error occurs.

ERROR

Oracle Home : /path/to/oracle/home
Central Inventory : /path/to/central/inventory/oraInventory
from : /path/to/oracle/home/oraInst.loc
OPatch version : 13.9.4.2.8
OUI version : 13.9.4.0.0
Log file location : /path/to/oracle/home/cfgtoollogs/opatch/opatchyyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ssAM_1.log


OPatch detects the Middleware Home as "/path/to/oracle/home"

List of Homes on this system:

Home name= OracleWLHome, Location= "/wrong/oracle/home/path/bea"
Home name= OraTux1222Home, Location= "/wrong/oracle/home/path/bea/tuxedo"

LsInventorySession failed: RawInventory gets null OracleHomeInfo

OPatch failed with error code 73


STEPS
-----------------------
1. Navigate to ORACLE_HOME/OPatch folder.
2. Execute "opatch lsinventory" command to replicate the issue.

Changes

Setup folders are either copied from a different server or the setup folder structure has been modified after the installation.
