Symptoms

When an employee attempts to enroll in a Benefit Plan (the dependent Plan) that requires enrollment of a dependent in another Plan (the controlling Plan), the following error message occurs even when the dependents are already enrolled in the controlling Plan:

Steps to reproduce the issue:

     1. Employee enrolls dependents in the controlling Plan (Navigation: Employee Self Service home page > Benefit Details tile > Benefits Enrollment tile > controlling plan tile).
     2. Employee lists the same dependents for enrollment in the dependent Plan (Navigation: dependent plan tile).
     3. Employee selects Done.
     4. Error message displays on page.
