EPY: Tax Update 23-B Change Package Delivered With PUM Image 46 Is Including Over 4000 Bug Fixes After Adding Requisites (Doc ID 2956550.1)

Symptoms

When creating Tax Update 23- B Change package from PUM Image 46, after going to Train Stop 4 the number of patches balloons up to 4000+ patches.

Steps to Reproduce

Please note: The number of patches will be determined by the latest PUM Image applied and assumes they do not use Fluid Self-Service and other Non- Tax Update patches

1. Logon to the PUM image via PIA.

2. Navigate to PeopleTools > Life Cycle Tools > Update Manager > Update Manager Dashboard.

3. Click Select Target Database drop down.

4. Select the appropriate target database.

5. Click the Define Change Package drop down.

6. Click the Define Change Package link.

7. Enter a name for the change package.

8. Select the radio button All Other Search Criteria.

9. Click Next.

10. Click the Tax Updates link.

11. Check the Image Number check box or Tax Update Check Box.

      a.  If you are using Tax Updates by Image Number, in the "From PI" drop down, select the image number that the lowest tax update is delivered in.

          -  Then in the "To PI" drop down, select the image number that the highest tax update is delivered in.

      b.  If you are using Tax Update Check Box, choose the Tax Update you are applying, in this case Tax Update 23-B

12. Select the Search for Bugs button.

13. Select all updates listed and click OK.

14. Choose Next

15. See thousands of extra patches get pulled in.

 Tax Update 23-B is being applied via PUM Image 46.
