Closing a Job Opening That Has More Than 3,000 Applicants Encounters the Error: An error has occurred. (Doc ID 2957132.1)

Symptoms

When a user is attempting to close a job opening with close to 3,000 applicants, he is logged out with the following error:

An error has occurred.

You may attempt to sign in again.

If your attempt fails, please contact your System Administrator.

Please make sure Webserver and Appserver are up. null

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Go to 'Search Job Openings'.  Navigation: Recruiting > Search Job Openings.
  2. Find a Job Opening with more than 3,000 applicants associated.
  3. Select the check box next to job opening and then choose 'Close' from Group Actions drop down.
