Page And Field Configurator Works With Inconsistencies in Academic Registry Page When Using the Copy from AIR Option (Doc ID 2958124.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Page and Field Configurator setup is created to hide the parenthesizes fields 'SSR_LPAREN_ADD', 'SSR_RPAREN_ADD', 'SSR_LPAREN_DEL' and 'SSR_RPAREN_DEL', in the SSR_PE_AI component. When adding a new value in Academic Item Registry Component (Curriculum Management > Academic Item Registry > Academic Item Registry (AIR)) using the 'Copy from AIR' option the hidden parenthesizes fields are displayed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Enterprise Components > Page and field Configurator > Page and field Configurator
  2. Add a new value, Component Name =SSR_PE_AI, Market = Global, Configuration Type = Standard
  3. Click on 'select fields' button.
  4. Set Primary Page = 02 - Item Details
  5. Locate and select the fields 'SSR_LPAREN_ADD', 'SSR_RPAREN_ADD', 'SSR_LPAREN_DEL', 'SSR_RPAREN_DEL'
  6. Click on 'Hide' checkbox for all selected fields.
  7. Go to 'Map to Portal Registry' tab and Enable Page Level Events and Apply Configuration and Save.
  8. Navigate to Curriculum Management > Academic Item Registry > Academic Item Registry (AIR).
  9. Click Add a new Value in Academic Item Registry Component.
  10. Observe the parenthesizes are not displayed.
  11. Go to 'Academic Item Registry'  tab again and click the 'Copy from AIR' button.
  12. Pick an existing value to copy from.
  13. Go to 'Item Details' tab.
  14. Observe the parenthesis are displayed despite the Page and field configurator setup.
