E-PIA: When Resizing Text in Bulleted and Numbered Lists Using CKEditor or RTE Editor, the Text is Resized but Not the Bullets (Doc ID 2959350.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 01, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.60 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When resizing text in bulleted and numbered lists using CKEditor or RTE Editor, the text is resized, while the bullets are not. For example, change the size of the font in a bulleted RTE/Long Edit Box. Observe that the bullet size does not change even though the text font increses or decreases.

This behavior is also observed when copying/pasting from Microsoft Word or similar application.

Steps to Replicate

1. Log into PIA, and navigate to an RTE enabled page such as Process Monitor (Navigation: PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Process Monitor).

2. Click on the Notify button, and select the "RTE" box.

3. With the RTE editor open, start a numbered or bulleted list, and type some text.

4. Increase the font size, and observe that while the font increases, the size of bullet/numbered list remains the same. See the sample below.
