Transaction Management Process (SCC_SL_SMSET ) Add an NSPEC Row to Ethnicity Production Table When Another Ethnicity Is Specified in Staging Table. (Doc ID 2960060.1)

Symptoms

When the user attempts to run the Transaction Management Process, the SCC_SL_SMSET application engine process creates NSPEC row when other ethnicities are staged for insert to production tables.




The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information > Biographical > Personal Attributes > Ethnicity
  2. Insert a single NSPEC row. Check the Primary Flag checkbox
  3. Navigate to Main Menu > Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > Constituent Transaction Mgmt > Data Update Rule Entry
  4. Search DEFAULT_UPDATE_RULE Rule ID and Set Update Action for All fields in Ethnic Diversity and Ethnicity Detail to Add If Blank
  5. Navigate to Main Menu >Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > File Parser > Run File Parser
  6. Add New Run Control ID and Select File Mapping  Ex. COMMON APPLICATION
  7. Enter File Path and Run the  SCCFP_PARSE Application Engine Program to stage ASIAN and NHISP into SCC_STG_DIV_ETH and SCC_STG_ETH_DT
  8. Navigate to Main Menu > Campus Community > Constituent Transaction Mgmt > Constituent Staging
  9. Confirm Staged data after executing File Parser
  10. Navigate to Main Menu> Campus Community > Constituent Transaction Mgmt > Transaction Management Process
  11. Add new Run Control ID , Select Transaction Name, Transaction Name, Submitted Transactions
  12. Run the SCC_SL_SMSET Application Engine Program
  13. Navigate to Main Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information > Biographical > Personal Attributes > Ethnicity
  14. Review Ethnicity Data
