Symptoms
When running Change Assistant to apply a change package, the step to run Application engine AE - UPD34319585 never completes.
For example, in one reported case, the process was still running after 6-7 hours before being manually stopped. All other Change Assistant steps complete successfully.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create Change package in Peoplesoft Update Manager (PUM).
- Apply the change package using Change Assistant.
- Observe that the step AE - UPD34319585 never completes, and must be manually stopped to allow the rest of the steps to finish.
