EC/AWE: Fluid Mass Approval Causes PeopleCode Error when Accessibility is Enabled (Doc ID 2963401.1)

Symptoms

When "Enable screen reader mode" has been selected while signing in, and using the Fluid Mass Approval page to approve, users get the following PeopleCode error:

Class Record: assumed property EOAW_MA_DISPLAYTLE is not a valid field name.

Called from:EOAW_APPROVAL_MM_FL.mainControl.OnExecute Name:EOPCApprovalButtonClick Statement:442
Called from:EOAWMA_MAIN_FL.GBL.EOAW_ACTPB0_WK.EOPCOBJ_BUTTON_L0.FieldChange Statement:1
The specified object property is assumed to be a field name, but the field is not found in the current object.

 

As a result, employees who use screen readers cannot mass approve requests.

Sample Replication:

1. Enable Mass Approvals for Fluid Approvals
      a. Navigate to Enterprise Components > Approvals > Approvals > Fluid Approval Setup
      b. Check “Allow Mass Approvals” for Absence Request and save.

2. Log out.
3. From the sign on page, click on 'Enable Screen Reader Mode' and sign in.

4. Navigate to the Manager Self Service homepage.
5. Click the Approvals Tile.

6. Click on Absence Request on the left, so you are shown only the pending Absence Requests.
7. Select an Absence Request transaction and click Approve.
8. PeopleCode Error is generated.
