E-DPK: Installing PT-INFRA DPK Fails With Error Puppet Software Is Not Installed On The Linux Host (Doc ID 2968167.1)

Linux x86-64

Symptoms

When trying to install the PT-INFRA DPK on Oracle VirtualBox or Linux as the ROOT user, the following message is received on the command line:

Puppet software is not installed on the Linux Host

The same message can be found in the psft_dpk_setup_apply_infra_cpu<date>.log 



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Download the PT-INFRA DPK files to the DPK_INSTALL directory.
2. Run the following command to install the update:

    /psft-dpk-setup.sh --psft_base_dir <directory> --apply_infra_cpu
