Getting Message: 'UPN ID is invalid for Item XXXXX on line X (10150,330)' When Changing the UOM on Requisition Page (Doc ID 2968655.1)

Symptoms

Requisition UPN ID field is not updating when changing the UOM.

Getting the error: 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Go to Menu > Items > Define Items and Attributes > Universal Item Id
    • Universal Item Identifiers for item ‘10015’:
    • EA = ‘1111111111111’
    • CS = ‘2222222222222’
  2.  Go to eProcurement tile
  3.  Go to Create Requisition tile
  4.  Search for item ‘10015’
  5.  Add to cart and checkout
  6.  Change UOM = ‘EA’ to ‘CS’ and Submit
  7.  Getting the message: 'UPN ID is invalid for Item 10015 on line 1 (10150,330)'
