EAP: Freight Missing on Accruals for Credit Voucher When Voucher Created through Voucher Build (Doc ID 2969379.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Payables - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Credit Voucher with prorated Freight Amount created through Quick Invoice is missing the Freight Amount on the Accrual entries on the VCHR_ACCTG_LINE table. It appears that Voucher Build is not populating the Freight fields on the VOUCHER and DISTRIB_LINE tables, which results in the Freight Amount fields not being populated on VCHR_ACCTG_LINE once the Credit Voucher is posted. Issue occurred after applying Image 44.

STEPS
1. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > Procurement > Procurement Control
    a. On the Non-Merch Charges page, Freight Charge = FRGTPR (Freight Prorated)

2. Navigate to Accounts Payable > Vouchers > Add/Update > Quick Invoice Entry
    a. Add 1st Quick Invoice with Gross Invoice Amount = -100 and Freight Amount = -18
    b. Add 2nd Quick Invoice with Gross Invoice Amount = -200 and Freight Amount = 22

3. Navigate to Accounts Payable > Batch Processes > Vouchers > Voucher Build
    a. Run Voucher Build

4. Through SQL:
    a. Check PS_VOUCHER -- Notice that the FREIGHT_AMT_BSE field is 0
    b. Check PS_DISTRIB_LINE -- Notice that the FREIGHT_AMT_GL, FREIGHT_AMT, and FREIGHT_AMT_BSE fields are 0

5. Navigate to Accounts Payable > Batch Processes > Vouchers > Voucher Posting
    a. Run Voucher Posting

6. Through SQL, check VCHR_ACCTG_LINE
    a. The Accrual entries for both Vouchers are populated with 0 for the FREIGHT_AMT_BSE and FREIGHT_AMT fields

Changes
