Symptoms
The Depreciation is not calculated if the In Service Date is Prior to the Transaction Date and the Asset has a Useful Life shorter than the periods between the In Service Date and the Transaction Date.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Generic Asset with the following details:
Transaction Date / Accounting Date: 06/21/2023
In Service Date: 12/31/2018
Useful Life: 30(Periods)
Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add
2. Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
3. Review the Depreciation Entries
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Review Depreciation Info > Asset Depreciation
