Symptoms
The EODL_BATCH process sends multiple emails when it runs after the end date of the delegation
Note: In the Replication Steps, User Details / Company Names / Addresses / Emails / Telephone Numbers / Etc. are fictitious (based upon made-up data used in the Oracle DEMO Environments), any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Navigate : PeopleTools > Notifications> Notification Administration
Set Email=Enabled and Save
2. Enterprise Components > Delegation > Installation Settings
Check Cascade Delegations and Save
3. Navigate : Enterprise Components > Delegation > Transaction Category
Add Procurement and Save
4. Navigate : Enterprise Components > Delegation > Workflow Transactions
Check Delegate Approvals for both Purchasing and Requisition and Save
5. Enterprise Components > Delegation > Delegation Transaction > Requisition
Check Cascade Delegation and Save
6. Enterprise Components > Delegation > Delegation Transaction > Purchase Order
Check Cascade Delegation and Save
7. Enterprise Components > Approvals > Approvals > Approval Setup > FluidDelegationBatch
Both participants (Approvers, Requester) are added
8. Navigate : PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles > VP1
Add both roles EODL_Administrator & EODL_User
9. Navigate : PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles > VP2
Add both roles EODL_Administrator & EODL_User
10. Navigate : Enterprise Components > Delegation > Create Delegation Request
Enter Start 3/13/2023, End Date 3/13/2023 and Comment
Select VP2
Select Transactions Purchase Order and Requisition
Submit
VP1 Received an email
VP2 Received an email
11. Login VP2
12. Navigate : Delegations Tile > My Delegated Authorities
Select Submitted tab
Select the check box add Click Accept
VP1 received an email
VP2 received an email
Note : Wait for the delegation request to expire (Check after 3/13/2023)
12. Navigate : Enterprise Components > Delegation > Maintain Delegated Authorities
Run EODL_BATCH process
Issue 1 : VP1 received two emails (1. Purchase Order, Requisition 2. Purchase Order)
Issue 2: VP2 does not receive any emails
