DLOUT Process Fails in FAPDLOUT Step With Error '153 Subscript out of range (in FAPDLOCH.cbl' in Cobol Log (Doc ID 2971041.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run DLOUT, the following error occurs in the FAPDLOUT cobol step:

Object Code error : file '/as01/psoft/cs_app_home/cblbin/FAPDLOCH.gnt'
error code: 153, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
153 Subscript out of range (in FAPDLOCH.cbl, line 5258)


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Generate Direct Loan Data > Direct Loan Outbound, and run the process.
  2. In Process Monitor, note when the process ends in Error status.
  3. Click link to DLOUT, then the link to FAPDLOUT > Details > View Log/Trace; then click the link to the .log in the File List to review the error details.
