After Posting A Payment to A Student Account, View Customer Accounts Does Not Show the Full Amount of The Payment (Doc ID 2971763.1)

Symptoms

A payment is posted to a student account.  Viewing the student account after the payment posted does not show the full amount of the payment.  When examining the payment details in the ACCOUNT_SF and PAYMENT_TBL, the full payment amount is shown, but ITEM_SF does not contain the full payment amount.  ITEM_XREF data for the PAYMENT_ID_NBR does show the full amount of the payment applied to charges. 

It is expected that the full amount of the payment is reflected on the student's account detail on all tables.

As an example, the payment amount posted is $5000.00.  Examining the student's account reflects $4,996.40 for the payment id number.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Student Financials, Charges and Payments, Post Student Transaction;
  2. Select a student;
  3. Post a payment for an amount;
  4. Navigate to Student Financials, View Customer Accounts;
  5. Select the student;
  6. View the detail on the account number the payment posted to, and note the full amount of the payment is not reflected on the student account.
