HCM: GSS Adhoc Salary Change Not Saving Transaction Data When Page and Field Configuration Used On Component HR_MSS_CT_CMP_AGFL (Doc ID 2971984.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After adding Page and Field Configuration (PFC) to the GSS transaction pages, the Ad Hoc Salary Change fails to save the transaction data, even though it looks like the transaction submission was successful. The appserver log or a trace file shows an internal PFC error (however, the user does not see this error):

ErrorReturn-> 261 - Variable contains a reference to a row object that has been deleted. (2,261) EOCC_COMP_CONFIG.Utility.PageField.OnExecute Name:SetProperties PCPC:5967 Statement:130
Called from:EOCC_COMP_CONFIG.Utility.RequiredEdit.OnExecute Name:RefreshFields Statement:13
Called from:EOCC_COMP_CONFIG.Utility.RequiredEdit.OnExecute Name:RequiredEdit Statement:4
Called from:EOCC_COMP_CONFIG.Services.Component_SavePreChange.OnExecute Name:execute Statement:8
Called from:PT_RCF.ServiceInterface.OnExecute Name:eve_execute Statement:141

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

*Prerequisite: Add some Page and Field Configuration to change some labels only on the HR_MSS_CT_CMP_AGFL component at navigation: Enterprise Components > Page and Field Configuration > Page and Field Configurator

1. Navigate to My Team tile
2. Choose dropdown for an employee, select to do an adhoc salary change
3. Go through the transaction setting the values as needed, then submit.
4. Log in as the approver, and try to view the approval. It will show all change values as 0 since the data did not save correctly.
