E-IB: PeopleSoft Provider SOAP Web Service Returns a "The Request String (Envelope) Has Not Formed Correctly. (158,16005)" Error (Doc ID 2972451.1)

Symptoms

When sending a request to a PeopleSoft provider SOAP web service, the following error is returned.

Error:

Request String (Envelope) is not formed properly. (158,16005)


Steps to replicate:

1. Create the SOAP web service.
2. Open the SOAP Tester or a test tool (e.g. SOAPUI), and send in the SOAP request.
3. Observe the error shown above.

PeopleTools (PT) 8.57.09
HCM 9.20
