Symptoms

When attempting to load transactions that interfaced using Upload Spreadsheet Data, the transactions with transaction cost > 4999.99 are erroring out even when the Capitalization limit specified is 5000.

A minimum capitalization limit has been set for this category The cost that was entered
below that capitalization minimum. Please adjust the minimum or do not capitalize this asset.


Replication Steps:

  1. Navigation: Setup Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Asset Management > Financials > AM Capitalization Limits. Set the AM Capitalization Limit to Error for any capital asset with an amount less than 5,000.
  2. Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Upload Spreadsheet Data. Add a new run control. Select the Add Capital Asset with Deprecation Template, Then select the Excel file to load. Select the file, then click the upload button. Make sure that there are some assets with transaction costs greater than $5000.
  3. Make sure there are no errors in the file and then click the Run button. From the Message log of the Process, Copy the Interface ID.
  4. Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM. Enter the copied Interface ID and set Process Frequency to “Always”. Then click the Run button. Then click the OK button. 
  5. After the job runs to success, enter the Interface ID in the Review Transactions page and search. Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Review Interface Transactions.
  6. All the lines errored out even the lines that were greater than 4999.99. Click on the error link and Please see the error message above noted on interface lines. The expectation is that the lines with an amount > 4999.99 should have loaded without errors.
