Student Advisor Component Subject Area Stays Empty After Saving and Returning to Page

Symptoms
When attempting to save an advisor to the /Instructor/Advisor Table the subject area is defaulted in. Once you exit the and return to the page, the subject in now blank
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set Up SACR -> Foundation Tables ->Academic Structure -> Academic Organization Table Make sure an Org ID exist for the Advisor Area
2. Curriculum Management -> Instructor/Advisor -> Instructor/Advisor Table. Add Instructor to Org unit, note on the approved courses tab, the subject area defaults in.
3. Save and note there are no changes for the subject area as expected since it defaults.
4. Exit out and return to the Advisor Table and note on the approved courses table that the subject area is now blank.
5. Look at the table (INSTR_CRSE) with query manager and you will see the subject area for the instuctor
6. Return to search in the INSTR_ADVSR_PERS component and note that the result of the query doesn’t change
7. Save the component INSTR_ADVSR_PERS again without making any changes and the subject area is once again lost
