On College Financing Plan, Housing and Meals Displays as Blank Instead of the Amount(s) Budgeted for the Student (Doc ID 2980798.1)

Symptoms

In self service as a student, when viewing the assigned College Financing Plan (CFP, formerly known as the 'Shopping Sheet'), the row for 'Housing and meals', in the section for Total Cost of Attendance, is blank. The other information in the same section, as well as elsewhere on the CFP, is all displaying correctly and as expected.

The 'Housing and meals' row on the CFP is expected to display the value that the student has been budgeted for the aid year, for the budget categories and items configured on the Housing tab of the CFP setup component. 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Complete the required configuration on Set Up SACR > Product Related > Financial Aid > College Financing Plan, including the Housing Mapping tab.
  2. Assign the College Financing Plan Group to the student on Financial Aid > View Packaging Status Summary > Packaging Status Summary.
  3. Log in to the application as the student and click the Financial Aid type.
  4. In the left navigation, click the page for the College Financing Plan.
  5. On the page, click the link to view the actual CFP template/page.
  6. At the top under Total Cost of Attendance for the aid year, note the 'Housing and meals' row is blank.
