On Generate Federal Work Study (COD FWS Outbound) Component, 'Attended School Routing ID' Field Look Up Displays 'No matching values were found.' and Manually Entered Value Produces 'Invalid Value' Page Error After Clicking 'Run' or 'Save' (Doc ID 2983187.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to populate and save the data on the On Generate Federal Work Study (COD FWS Outbound) run control component, a value can't be populated for the 'Attended School Routing ID', a required field.

The field can't be populated because there are no available values to choose from when clicking the magnifying glass prompt - the resulting look up page displays 'No matching values were found.'  If that message is ignored, and the expected value for the field is instead populdated manually, attempting to either save the component or run the process results in the field highlighting in red and an error box displaying on the page with the message 'Invalid value -- press the prompt button or hyperlink for a list of valid values (15,11)'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Generate Federal Work Study.
  2. Click the magnifying glass prompt for the 'Attended School Routing ID' field and note the look up page shows ''No matching values were found.'
  3. Manually populate the value that is expected for the field, along with rest of the fields on the page.
  4. Click 'Run' or 'Save' and note the display of the error box/messge and 'Attended School Routing ID' highlighted in red.

Changes

The issue occurs after applying the fix(es) delivered originally in Patch 34858743 - COD: FEDERAL WORK STUDY REPORTING, which introduced the new component and related functionality.
