Symptoms

Course Search Indexing App Engine SSR_BCPRE_AE running to No Success after PUM 30.

Shortly after moving CS 9.2 PUM 30 to production,  the following error started to occur with the App Engine SSR_BCPRE_AE, which handles indexing for the Course Search.

Changes

Part of what was delivered in PUM 30 is to enable real time indexing for Browse Catalog.  This will allow any changes made to browse catalog to reflect immediately without the need to execute an incremental build.

Since there still may be a need to schedule an incremental build, customers can continue to do this in Schedule Search Index (Home > PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Schedule Search Index).  Create run-control ID’s here.  It is important to ensure that the non-small form format (LFF) is executed first followed by small form format (SFF).
