Symptoms
After applying Bug 35823868 - 1099 UPDATE FOR 2023, a test file is sent to the IRS. The test file includes Piggyback States because it is participating in the Combined Federal/State Filing Program. The IRS returns the file status as "Good" instead of "Good, Federal/State Reporting”.
STEPS
1. Apply Bug 35823868 - 1099 UPDATE FOR 2023
2. Verify box is checked for 'Combined Federal State Filing': Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Procurement Options > Withholding > Report Control Information > Control ID = CORP
3. Run 1099 Job: Suppliers > 1099/Global Withholding > 1099 Reports > Withhold 1099 Report Job
a. Control ID = CORP
b. Calendar ID = A1
c. Fiscal Year = 2023
d. Period = 1
e. Type of File/Return = Test
4. IRS file, IRS_001_XXXX_XXXXXXXX.txt, is generated successfully and Payee “B” Record containing State Codes are in positions 747-748
5. Send file to IRS FIRE Test System
6. File returns as "Good" when it should be "Good, Federal/State Reporting”
