Last updated on DECEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying Image 45 and upgrading to Tools 8.59.07, requisitions are not removed from an approver's worklist if the approval is reinitialized and no longer requires that approver's approval.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.Setup Approval workflow with 2 Stages. (eProcurement-->Administer Procurement-->Maintain Workflow-->Approval Process Setup)
2. Create a new requisition making sure that it meets both approval criterias. (eProcurement-->Create Requisitions)
3. Save & Submit the requisition.
4. Requisition is routed to both stages of the workflow
5. Login as the first approver
6. Navigate to Worklist (Worklist-->My Worklist - Detail View)
7. Select the requisition
8. Click Approve
9. Requisition now shows that Stage 1 of the requisition is approved and it's been routed to Stage 2
10. Login as the next level approver
11. Navigate to Worklist. (Worklist-->My Worklist - Detail View)  Note the requisition is available. DO NOT APPROVE. Logout of the system
12. Login as the requester
13. Navigate to Manage Requisitions. (eProcurment-->Manage Requisitions)
14. Select Edit on our requisition and click GO
15. Click OK to the warning )This requisition is pending approval. Editing this requisition may reinitialize approval process. (1836, 6248).
16. Reduce the Quantity from 500 to 80.
17. Click Save & Submit.
18. Requisition is only routed to Stage 1 which is correct. It does not need to be routed to Stage 2 as it did not meet the criteria for Stage 2.
19. Login as VP2. The first approver for Stage 2 which has the worklist from the above step
20. Navigate to Worklist.   (Worklist-->My Worklist - Detail View)
21. Note that the requisition is still on the Stage 2 approvers worklist. The worklist should of been removed as workflow was restarted.
