EPY: Error Message ID 000103 in the Processing Messages Page when Employee Changed From Salaried to Hourly. (Doc ID 2995342.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Employee has been changed from salaried to hourly in the middle of the pay period (12/10 - 12/23);
Salaried TRC's have already entered for this employee. Reported time has already entered for this employee so payable time has also been affected. The salaried TRC's have been removed so reported time now looks correct as does payable time;
Running Payroll and it ends with the following error message:

Message ID: 000103
Description: The earnings code specified is not found in the Earnings Program.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Employee is a salaried employee.

  - Navigate to Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data, Payroll page:

  - Employee Type: S(Salaried). Pay Group is a pay group for salaried employees.

2. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing USA > Create and Load Paysheets and create a paysheet for period from 12/102023 - 12/23/2023.
3. Update paysheet for the employee and added PTO earning.
4. Navigate to Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data and create a new effective date 12/21/2023. Update the Employee Type to Hourly and change the Pay Group for an hourly pay group.
5. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing USA > Calculate Payroll and calculate payroll for this employee.
6. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing USA > Review Processing Messages and the following message Id appears for this Pay Run ID:


Message ID: 000103
Description: The earnings code specified is not found in the Earnings Program.
