E-AD: Application Designer "Find In" Function Does Not Work For Any String in Peoplecode, Gives 0 Results. (Doc ID 2997395.1)

Symptoms

In Application Designer, when attempting to search for any string in PeopleCode via the "Find In" function, the message "0 occurrence(s) have been found" is returned immediately.

The issue appears to be specifically with finding any PeopleCode string.


In order to replicate the issue, follow the below steps:

1. Log into Application Designer and go to Edit -> Find In.
2. Enter any valid text string (any Function name from PeopleCode, "Validate_Dependents" for example) in 'Find What' box.
3. In Find Type select "Text string in PeopleCode".
4. Click on the Find button and that brings back 0 results.
