GPES: When Pension Plan Deductions Have Different Effective Dates on Payee, the Formula PP FM CALCULO is Incorrectly Calculated. (Doc ID 2999811.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Spain - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

As a Payroll Administrator, while trying to run payroll for employees with Pension Plan assignments with different effective dates, the system is incorrectly calculating the pension plan deductions when it shouldn’t.

For the current month, the current definition of the pension plan assignment, doesn’t include the pension plan calculation while there is a previous effective date that has the same month with calculation.

Steps to replicate the issue:
1. Navigate to Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Elements > Supporting Elements > Formulas: PP FM CALCULO
Setup pension plan assignment with 2 Effective Dates
2. Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Pension Information > Payee > Pension Plan ESP
Setup the following Contributions

Effective date: 1 JAN 2011, add the Contributions
Effective date: 1 JAN 2012, add the Contributions
Effective date: 1 SEP 2012, add the Contributions

3. Navigate to Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Absence and Payroll Processing > Calculate Payroll
Calculate February 2023 Payroll and notice:
Both pension plan concepts would not need to be calculated:
DD PP COLECT
SPC PP COLECT

NOTE: In the example above, EmplID and customer name represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the HCM DEMO environment). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

Changes

Issue appeared after the Bug 34737169 was applied that delivered changes to the Formula PP FM CALCULO.
