Symptoms
When finalizing the budgets loaded via INTFC_PROJ_RES using the program PC_INTFEDIT, the budget transactions result in the below exceptions.
Error:
In the trace, found that the rows are coded with an E50 error code which means "Exceeds Parent Budget."
Replication Steps:
- Using SQL or another method, load data into INTFC_PROJ_RES from a third-party system. These are budget rows.
- Run the PC_INTFEDIT process for the specific interface ID. (Project Costing > Third Party Integration > Third Party Load Transactions)
- Budgets are loaded into the Budget Plan and the Budget Detail tables. Navigate to Project Costing > Budgeting > Budget Plan. Open the budget plan and click on the Finalize button of the budget plan to finalize the budget.
- Notice that the budgets are not processed to KK and are errored with budget exceptions. The exception says the child's budget exceeds the parent's budget.
