Delivered Valid Record CRSE_CATALOG Has No Valid Fields, Preventing the Record From Being Used in Course Fee Criteria Setup for Tuition Calculation (Doc ID 3000611.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 28, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

CRSE_CATALOG was delivered as a valid record without any associated valid fields, and fields that are manually added to the Valid Fields table are not used by Tuition Calculation.

Since the field was delivered as a valid record, it's expected there should be valid fields also delivered for it, so that the table can be used with Tuition Calculation.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > Valid Records, and note that CRSE_CATALOG is in the list.
  2. Navigate to Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > Valid Fields and note there are no fields associated with CRSE_CATALOG. Manually add one or more fields, such as SSR_COMPONENT.
  3. Navigate to Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > Criteria >, and add new criteria using the field set up in step 2.
  4. Run tuition calculation and review the results, noting that the criteria in the previous step is not used.
