Symptoms

Error in Additional Names page when trying to add a row to a Preferred Name

Class Row method GetRowset scroll NAME_TYPE_VW is invalid. (2,270) NAMES.EFFDT.RowInsert  PCPC:107  Statement:1 
The scroll name has been used as a parameter of the specified method.  It is not valid for the current object. 
Use the PeopleCode Debugger or a PeopleCode trace to determine the point of the error, and correct the program.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Root > Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Biographical > Additional Names, and search for an employee using Correction mode
2. Add a preferred name if one doesn't already exist. If you do need to do this, reload the component and search for the employee again.
3. Click Edit Name History link for the preferred name row
4. Click the Plus icon to try to add an effective dated row. Error occurs
