GPCH: Patch 34530682 Delivered in PUM Image 45 Deleted All Source Tax Configuration for Canton of Zug (Doc ID 3001883.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Switzerland - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying PUM Image 45, it was noticed that Patch 34530682 destroyed customer-maintained data irrecoverably.
The tax authority in the canton of Zug discovered that withholding tax returns had not been submitted since May. For all other cantons, withholding tax had been submitted.
Since all other cantons were at least represented in the sample data, these files were transmitted to SwissDec, even though the contact information was incorrect.

The GPCH_SI_PROVIDR table is 100% maintained by the client as it contains information such as contact details. It was noted that the GPCH_SI_PROVIDR table had been reset with sample/test data.
This is difficult for users to realise, because when they make the transmission, they see there a list of many cantons, as expected, and the fact that they realise that only one is missing is not at all obvious.

The data for the canton of Zug cannot be transmitted without resending the data for all the other cantons.

Steps to replicate the issue:

1. Navigate to Set Up HCM> Product Related> Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt> Social Security/Insurance>Providers CHE and transmit source tax declarations.
2. The tax authority of the canton of Zug has observed that withholding tax returns have not been submitted since May.
3. It was noted that the GPCH_SI_PROVIDR table has been reset with sampling/testing data.
