ABMGT: Orphaned Rows in Manager Absence Pending Approvals Cause Result in "The specified parameter is not correct for the function" Error (Doc ID 3007435.1)

Symptoms

On occasion, a Manager will access a list of Absence Events to approve and will notice rows, which have the Absence name but no other information.  If they try to access the row, they will encounter the following error message.

"Invalid parameter 1 for function CreateRecord.

The specified parameter is not correct for the function. It may be the wrong type of parameter (string, number, record.field, etc) or an invalid value in this context."

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Manager signs into system (Manager Self Service Homepage) and clicks the Approvals tile.
  2. From the Approvals page, select Absence Requests.
  3. Find a row as described above, with Absence name only and no other details.
  4. Attempt to open this event and receive the error.
