E-QR: Running Query to Excel Logs User out of PIA, "java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:org.apache.commons.io.IOUtils.byteArray(I)[B" error occurs in stderr Log File. (Doc ID 3011911.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to download PS Query to Excel, Users are logged out from PIA.

The following errors occur:
1). In any browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Edge):

"An error has occurred.
You may attempt to sign in again.
If your attempt fails, please contact your System Administrator.
Please make sure Webserver and Appserver are up."

2). In stderr log file:

"java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:org.apache.commons.io.IOUtils.byteArray(I)[B

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to PIA.
2. Navigate to Reporting Tools > Query > Query Manager.
3. Search by an existing Query.
4. Select Run to Excel (a new window opens).
5. Fill in any prompts (if any).
6. The user gets a screen "An Error has occurred".

Changes

 Upgrade to PeopleTools version 8.61.
