Last updated on APRIL 29, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using a Billing Standard Request where the Current Table Entries box is checked on, and a specific Student group is specified on the Student Group tab of the Billing Standard Request is used to create a billing request.  Running the Generate Invoice process using this Billing Standard Request is creating invoices for all eligible students.  The expectation is, based on the Billing Standard Request setup, only students having the specified Student Group will have an invoice generated.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Set Up SACR, Product Related, Student Financials, Billing, Billing Standard Request;
  2. Create a new Billing Standard Request. On the Student Groups tab, click the Current Table Entries only, and enter the specific Student Group;
  3. Click Save;
  4. Navigate to Student Financials, Bill Customers, Student Bills, Create Billing Request;
  5. Create a Billing Request with a Bill By Option of Bill One ID or Bill All Not Yet Billed, and using the billing standard request created in Steps 1-3;
  6. Submit the process to the process scheduler;
  7. Review the student bills created by the Billing Request from Step 3 and note students are being billed that do not have the Student Group specified on the Billing Standard Request.
