Symptoms

When a new user is created, they are unable to view the search results on the Job search page without clearing the security cache on PeopleTools -> Search Framework -> Utilities -> Search Category Test page.

The issue can be reproduced by following the below steps:

1. Create a copy of an existing user by following the below steps:

  1. Select PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > Copy User Profiles to access the User Profiles search page.

  2. Select the user ID that you want to copy.

  3. On the User Profile Save As page, enter the new user ID, a description, and the password that the new user ID should use to sign in to the system.

2. Login using the new user created.

3. Click Search button under Job Search.

For the new user there is no facet displayed on the right and no result displayed for the search as shown below.

4. Navigate to PeopleTools -> Search Framework -> Utilities -> Search Category Test page and Refresh Security Cache. Now the results appear as expected.
