Last updated on OCTOBER 01, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Budgets for incoming freshman, the budget equations are no longer getting executed. The budget items are found but the budget item amounts are blank causing the students cost of attendance to be wrong for the 2024-2025 Aid Year.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Admit a student as a first-year freshman and do not matriculate them.
  2. Write equations looking for students who have an Admit Row in Admissions but have not been matriculated.
  3. Navigate to Financial Aid -> Budgets -> Create Student Budgets and click the build button for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 terms.
  4. Note that when clicking on the detail link after the build process completes that the items using equations are not calculated.

Changes

A change was made to FAPBUDPF.cbl adding PS_ACAD_PROG to the select statement FAPBUDPF_S_CAREER via Bug 35024011 'INVALID BUDGET ITEM AMOUNT RETRIEVED' MESSAGE IS BEING INCORRECTLY DISPLAYED.
