EPY: Accessibility - Voice Assistants Do Not Properly Announce Employee GARNISH_SPEC Details (Doc ID 3020530.1)

Symptoms

Voice technology, such as NVDA or JAWS does not read through Employee Create Garnishments pages as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

Note: user is attempting to access GARNISH_SPEC3 (Garnishment Spec Data 3)

  1. Sign in system with "Enable Screen Reader" checked and using voice technology.
  2. Navigate Main Menu>Payroll for North America>Employee Pay Data USA>Deductions>Create Garnishments.
  3. Choose Employee>Record opens to GARNISH_SPEC1 (Garnishment Spec Data 1).
  4. Focus immediately lands on/reads the Garnishment ID field and not the four visible tabs (Garnishment Spec Data 1/Garnishment Spec Data 2/Garnishment Spec Data 3/Garnishment Spec Data 4).
  5. No announcement as to whether there is a list or group box. 

User is not aware how to navigate to GARNISH_SPEC3 (Garnishment Spec Data 3).  Can first focus be moved to these tabs, rather than the Garnishment ID field on GARNISH_SPEC1?
